Extra Large Dog Houses For the Mastiff!

The slow motion image of 'Hooch' from the movie Turner and Hooch as he runs along with his jowls and saliva dripping from side to side. The Mastiff breed you'd think was named because of its Massive size. The large head, neck, chest and incredible strength and power are all displayed proudly as it strides along. When considering a Mastiff as a family pet, the size of these dogs you can't ignore and need to factor in.

As with most all of the extra large breed dogs, the Mastiff does not need a great deal of exercise. When they are inside, they are pretty laid back and sedentary. However, these are a huge animal and the comfort of the dog and the family should be taken into account.

Giving your mammoth pet some space to retreat to may be more comfortable for both owner and pet. A yard for them to get a little exercise with their own extra large dog house for shade and comfort would be a great scenario. The reason for some outdoor comfort, they do slobber excessively after eating and drinking and also just throughout the day. They will shake their giant heads and the slobber can't help but go flying. Eating outside and giving them a great space to hang out can reduce the untidy mess they tend to make inside.

This dog can be very comfortable outdoors in temperate climate, but does prefer to be around the family and being social. Warm and hot climates don't suit them well at all. If you live in an area where it tends to get humid and warm you can even consider a climate control unit installed in their extra large dog house as they do prefer it a little on the cool side. This set up may allow for a little more comfort and cleanliness in the house while giving a great deal of comfort and care to your pet.
